Modelers always need the kit cradle for the upper structure construction and to act as a final support to hold the ship when finished.
If that construction is not a part of kit you can made it yourself. Here are simple templates. Holders consist of 2 frames A and three (one in small holder) frames B. The frames are cut to a 2mm oversize pattern, to take a foam strip to protect the painted hull. Holders are cut from plywood.
If you need a cradle for small lifeboat on deck or for other usage you can use our second template.
These holders are from Mantua Panart Royal Caroline kit but after resizing you can use it for any other kits.
